Audio 20 CD provides entertainment and can be optionally equipped with an integrated 6-disc CD changer. It is operated via the multifunction steering wheel and also includes loudspeakers chosen to match the vehicle interior. The system features comprehensive equipment, including a 14.7 centimetre colour display, USB connection in the glove compartment, CD player and telephone keypad. The optimised Media Interface, including the consumer cable kit, provides a solution for connecting portable media players in the centre console which cannot be connected via the standard USB mass storage device. The digital ViaMichelin travel guide, which includes the ViaMichelin restaurant guide, is an optional extra with the COMAND Online multimedia system and is available in five languages covering 36 European countries. It gives extensive information on restaurants, hotels, points of interest and tourist routes. The search function makes it easy and quick to locate points of interest nearby or at the destination. Grading symbols from the ViaMichelin help the user to select restaurants, hotels, points of interest and tourist routes. The software also provides other multimedia information (audio files, images and texts) on the ViaMichelin POIs. The travel guide contents can be updated free of charge via the Mercedes-Benz portal. | |
A screen on which two different types of content are displayed simultaneously: While the driver checks the navigation instructions, the front passenger can enjoy a film without interruption on the same display. Perfect entertainment that you can see and hear at a high technical level and in excellent sound and picture quality. The telephone module with Bluetooth® (SAP profile) is an enhancement to convenience telephony. The TV receiver enables television viewing during driving breaks: The receiver unit processes the digital signals in DVB-T standard and is controlled using the COMAND Online multimedia system, whose display is positioned in the driver’s central field of vision and also shows the image. Sound output is via the vehicle's speaker system. The receiving aerial is integrated in the rear window. At speeds above approx. 6 km/h, the image is switched off for safety reasons and reappears when the speed falls below this limit. |
